Flawless architectural installations rely on highly stabilized seam and miter executions. Çimstone requires rigorous sub-structure support and chemically matched bonding agents to ensure decade-long performance without joint failure.

Miter Joint Protocols
Angle Tolerance: Miter joints must be cut at exactly a 45° angle to ensure maximum structural strength. Edges cut at angles narrower than 45° become highly susceptible to physical damage and edge chipping.
Adhesive Distribution: Gel polyester adhesive must be thoroughly and evenly distributed along the entire joint line. Gaps in the adhesive will cause piece breakage under impact.
Joint Support: Miter joints require underside support constructed from either Çimstone off-cuts or waterproof plywood.

Seam Engineering & Hardware Bans
Placement Restrictions: Never place a seam within 15 cm of a sink or cooktop opening. Under no circumstances should a seam be placed directly over a heat-emitting appliance, such as a dishwasher.
Chemical Bonding: Use only polyester-based adhesives, color-matched to the specific slab. To maximize grip, route a 4 mm wide by 4 mm deep channel on the joining surfaces to act as an adhesive reservoir.
Sub-Structure Support: Support all seams with rigid materials (MDF board, metal profiles, or Çimstone strips) at approximately one-meter intervals across the countertop width.
Mechanical Fastener Ban: Screws, nails, or mechanical fasteners must absolutely never be drilled into or applied directly to Çimstone countertops.

Installation, Backsplashes & Cleanup
Wall Expansion Gaps: During final installation, mandate a minimum 5 mm expansion gap on all sides against walls to accommodate structural settling.
Backsplash Protocols: Backsplash panels must be prepared from slabs of the same production date. Clean the contacting edges with acetone, and install using strong, waterproof, high-quality silicone adhesives (not polyester).
Chemical Cleanup: Excess polyester adhesive at seam joints may be efficiently removed using acetone. However, acetone must never be used for general surface cleaning. Rinse with clean water immediately.
