Çimstone surfaces are engineered for longevity and effortless maintenance. The natural gloss of our slabs is derived from the inherent luster of the quartz mineral; it does not require artificial polishing, topical sealing, or on-site resurfacing. Adhering to strict care guidelines prevents surface degradation and protects the material's structural integrity.
A damp cloth and a mild liquid detergent are sufficient for daily cleaning.
For dried materials (paint, nail polish, gum), gently scrape the surface using a plastic scraper. For persistent stains, apply a bleach-based gel cleaner, scrub lightly with a soft sponge, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Never allow cleaning products to dry on the surface without rinsing.
Metallic rubbing (from belt buckles or zippers) may leave grey metal deposits on the edge. These are not scratches and can be removed with a soft sponge and cleaning gel.
While briefly resistant to heat, quartz is vulnerable to thermal shock. Continuous or extreme heat exposure may cause cracks or surface distortion. Always utilize trivets; do not place hot pots directly on the surface.
Boasting a 7 Mohs hardness, the surface resists cutting, but utilizing a cutting board is strongly recommended to preserve the factory finish over decades.
Avoid prolonged exposure to alkaline cleaners containing active hydroxide (e.g., drain openers) and heavy solvents like trichloroethane or methylene chloride (e.g., paint removers). If contact occurs, rinse immediately.
